Stirred-tank reactors (STR) made out of stainless steel, Hastelloy® or tantal coated provide additional safety when handling hazardous and poisonous substances and the risk of bursting glass is averted.
Due to their mechanical stability the vessels have a long-lasting durability. Many of the JUCHHEIM
vessels in operation are older than their current users! Depending on the material of the seal, the
reaction vessels are heat resistant up to a temperature of 350°C. The reaction vessels’ interior is
polished and has a surface roughness of less than 0.008 mm.
This high quality of finish makes them easy to clean. The desired type of stirrer can be fixed through
a stirring passage in the reactor cover’s centre, where diverse connectors are arranged around the
stirring passage in a circular pattern. All lids come equipped with a sight glass, a lighting glass and a
thermometer socket. All remaining connectors of the vacuum vessels are threaded and thus easy to
replace and have standard taper joints. Useable as well as vat-reactor or backmix reactor.
For increased media resistency we offer Hastelloy® and tantal coating. Reactors made from the innovative JUCHHEIM cocoon™ technology offer a corrosion-resistancy like glass. Read more about the cocoon™ technology.
